Purchase Permits |
What visitors need to know after they buy a permit.
You must display your permit on the dash of your vehicle. Common sense will tell you that you can’t park on the grass or in a spot that is specially marked. If you don’t display your permit correctly or if you park in a space for which you do not have a permit, you will likely get a ticket. Pay your ticket within 14 days. If you get a ticket, please pay it within 14 calendar days. If you don’t pay it within 14 calendar days, late fees and other penalties, including vehicle immobilization, may be assessed. Click here for fines and late fees. You may pay online. Don’t get the boot. Collect three unpaid tickets or 10 tickets in a calendar year and your vehicle will likely be booted and maybe even towed – at your expense. Your vehicle may also be booted or towed if you park in a no parking zone, service area, fire lane, Lot 7, a Reserved, Designated (indicated by orange stripes), Restricted or Disability space or if you obstruct traffic and create a safety hazard. Click here for the complete regulations. The Appeals Process Occasionally mistakes are made. You can appeal your ticket by submitting an Appeal Form within 14 calendar days. Click here to download the form or stop by the Parking Services office. For more information on the Appeals Process, click here.
